Gentle Yoga is more than just yoga slowed down or made easy: it is a specific form of practice that supports not only aging bodies but also anyone of any age with physical limitations or who simply want a slow, mindful practice. Gentle Yoga, as I’ve taught it, includes movement to increase mobility, strength, and balance, restorative poses, and mindfulness, all on the foundation of the breath. In this training, we’ll break down the elements that make up a truly gentle practice that is inclusive and sustainable, looking at typical physical limitations, aging bodies, supportive sequencing, and appropriate asanas. I’ll share with you what I have learned over the past 5 years of developing and refining my approach, including a lot of trial and error.  

This training is for teachers only and will include information and tools that can be used in any type of class, both group and one-to-one. If you are registered with Yoga Alliance, you will be eligible to receive 8 contact hours of continuing education.
